Towboat Photography by C.R. Neale
The following time lapse videos were my first experiment with time lapse photography (they were previously shown on the homepage)...hope you all like them.
In March 2009, I decided to make a few more time lapse videos, but wanted to include a lockage in the videos. While delivering two barges to St. Marys, I set up my equipment and recorded nearly the entire trip. Some of the trip didn't turn out well due to my exposure settings, but I've included the parts that turned out the best.
In September 2009, the weather got decent enough again to shoot a few more lapses. The first lapse shows the view from the back of the boat while putting two sand loads in tow of the M/V Mark S. at Mile 193 on the Ohio River. The second one shows the view from inside the pilothouse with myself at the sticks while putting 3 sand loads in tow of the M/V Darrell L. at Mile 178 on the Ohio River.
